He didn’t find culture.
He became it.
Culture Isn't a Trend.
It's a Truth.
I’m Bilal Antar bin Shadad Al Mazrouei of New York City. I don’t follow waves — I move them.
And i am on a mission to carry Arab culture across borders, through fabric, film, and fearlessness.
"Respect the roots.
Remix the rhythm."
BASMNYC isn’t a brand.
It’s a mission. I’m here to reframe identity and rebuild respect. To turn heritage into a living, wearable language.
You don’t need permission to be proud. You just need proof. And every photo, fit, and film I drop is just that: proof that we’ve always been iconic.
"This started as a feeling. Now it’s a movement."

I grew up in New York City but carried the desert in my spirit. I’ve seen my culture boxed, blurred, and broken down into clichés. So I chose to change the frame.
Manifesto
To make Arab culture impossible to ignore — through style, story, and substance.
Not to explain it. To embody it.
Not to go viral. To go deep.
Legacy over likes. Every time.
Trust isn’t what you say—it’s what people say about you when you leave the room.
This isn't hype. It's history in motion.
Meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum isn’t just a moment — it’s a message.
That vision backed by courage can shape skylines, shift cultures, and turn sand into possibility.
He doesn’t just lead a country.
He gives every dreamer permission to build.
Nothing is is impossible and impossible is nothing.
With His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan — Minister of Tolerance, and former Minister of Culture, Minister of Higher Education.
A statesman of quiet strength.
His humility speaks louder than titles.
His presence reminds us: true legacy is how you make others feel.
Unfiltered, in the moment, and a chance to share the journey as it unfolds.
Grateful for every opportunity to reflect, represent, and even drop a bit of the local dialect I’ve come to love.
With Commander-in-Chief Lt. Gen. Abdullah Al Marri at Dubai Innovation Week, Police HQ.

Meeting the Emirati flight team 'Al Forsan' and getting signed memorabilia at Dubai Flight Week.
Performing a tradition Emirati dance with locals in Ras Al Khaimah
Grateful for the spotlight in both The National and Emarat Al Youm—English and Arabic, side by side.
Because when the story is real, it speaks every language.
And when it's rooted in culture, it belongs to everyone.
Exclusively in the United Arab Emirates.
I build things I wish the world already had.
Not noise - meaning.
Not trends - truth.
This isn't content. It's scaffolding for something that lasts.
I'm here to lay the bricks for what matters next.
BASMNYC
Creative Ideation
BASMNYC is the engine behind the vision.
It’s where ideas become impact - through events, activations, branding, and bold collaborations.
For companies that don’t just want attention — they want meaning.
24K is the experience arm of the mission.
It’s where heritage meets hospitality — through fashion, storytelling, and cultural immersion.
For those who don’t just want to visit the Arab world — they want to feel it.
Flashback
Culture Series
FLASHBACKS is the memory lane of the mission.
A true-life cultural series—part comedy, part culture, all real.
It’s how I learned the land, met the legends, and lived the lessons.
Activations
Festivals and Events
Our Activations, Festivals, and Events are culture — live and in motion.
Built to spark connection, shift perception, and turn every gathering into a moment that matters.
Revisiting History
Legendary Nights
Revisiting History is a legendary night special where memory becomes movement.
We honor the moments, people, and stories that shaped us — then bring them forward for the world to feel.
Brand
Collaborations
BASMNYC Collaborations are where culture meets commerce with purpose.
We don’t do ads — we craft alignment.
For brands that want to resonate, not just reach.
The fit is traditional.
The energy is global.
If it’s just for clicks, I’m not your guy.
But if you’re building something with meaning — something that earns trust, creates connection, and respects culture — then let’s talk.
Before I ever put on a kandura, I was in the trenches — executive producing, orchestrating, and launching a sound that would take over the world.
Before the Culture,
There was Sound.
As co-founder of a pioneering label, I helped birth the global rise of Afrobeats. I didn’t just catch the wave. I helped create it.
Before the awards, the politics, the sold-out tours—there were late nights, real strategy, and belief in something no one else saw yet.
That same vision now powers BASMNYC.
From sound to style, from Lagos to Dubai, I’ve always been about culture that moves people.
This isn’t a pivot. It’s a legacy in progress.
Legacy and Impact
Wizkid is now a global superstar, multiple Grammy award winning artist.
Banky W has segued into a career in politics, after being an actor and executive producer.
Skales is a decade plus into a legendary career. You may know from'Shake Body' or Mohammed Ramadan’s ‘Come Baby Come’
AFROBEATS is one of the biggest most influential genres of music in the world and other artists and labels from Africa are taking their culture to the world.
Yeah, my name’s long.
So is Arab legacy.
Everyone thinks Arab 'civilization' started with oil—nah.
My namesake was dropping bars centuries before Shakespeare even picked up a pen.
I chose this name to wake people up, ask better questions, and connect over what actually matters.
Different is the point. That’s how you shift the culture.
“I see myself as an Ambassador of Arab culture to the world and wanted a name that really meant something to ME.
I studied Arabic culture, both pre and post Islam and the two people I most identified with were Bilal (bin Rabah) & Antar bin Shadad. The first Emirati family I met were the Mazrouei's and as I am from New York City, my name was formed”
